Pirton Parish Council in Hertfordshire commissioned Setter Play to refresh and update their recreation ground play park just in time for Spring
We made sure our proposals presented best value with a mix of brand new designs for the space along with some cost-effective refresh of much loved play provisions that the council’s stakeholders wanted to remain in the park
At the far end of the space we created a play castle for the younger children of the village, along with our popular Dinosaur Nest climber for older ones
The play castle features two challenging routes up to the deck, with simple steps at the rear of the climber providing easier access direct to the stainless-steel slide
Dinosaur Nest has been a huge hit since it’s first installation last year, with an engaging mix of free-form adventure-play in a design that sparks the imagination
The space was completed with a basket swing to provide an inclusive play feature or a space for friends to hang out
The existing swing frame that we installed 15 years ago was still in good condition so the council opted to keep it and extend it, with a new cradle swing for little ones
The old see-saw didn’t provide much fun so we replaced it with a much bigger one, all on new black wetpour rubber surfacing.
Pirton is a village we know well and so we are very proud to have fulfilled this project for the residents of the village. It’s already getting great reviews which is lovely to see!
