Lewisham Indo-Chinese Centre commissioned Setter Play to complete revamp their outdoor space, adding colour, excitement and activity to their previously empty area.

A vibrant artificial grass design features a perimeter roadway, to provide their pupils with a focused outlet for their energy. Lots of features such as zebra crossings, street signs, and parking bays, create a ‘small world’ to boost role-play.

The play provisions in the space had to be suitable for nursery and EYFS-aged children, and so we included an accessible climber with different levels of challenge, ‘Huckleberry’, which culminates in an exciting slide to zip back down and keep exploring.

The play space also featured a mound and tunnel, and a vibrant ‘islands and rivers’ themed surfacing design, which added vibrancy and even more imagination-play sparks.
