Shortstown Nursery asked Setter Play to redesign their nursery play area, re-surfacing and addressing drainage issues with the space, and also redesigning it to include an outdoor play and learning canopy, along with an SEN cabin.

After a busy summer the space was completely cleared, with a new stone foundation throughout.

The design was intended to boost their real-world understanding and provide a focused outlet for energy along the roadway, along with a ‘runabout’ to develop balance and spatial awareness, and a fives frame for number sorting and identification.

We’re very lucky to continue our working relationship with Shortstown Academy, and we hope their nursery loves their new outdoor space!
