Stadhampton Parish Council did an incredible job fundraising to refresh their play area, and commissioned Setter Play to deliver the project in early 2025. Their existing unit had a huge footprint so we had to make sure to emulate it, along with some new additions that were popular in their public consultations.
The centrepiece climbing frame was a huge play castle, complete with four platforms rising from 1.2m to 1.8m in height, providing different levels of challenge to ensure children of all ages could join in the fun.
The castle provided lots of multi-level play too, with activities above and below decks, including activities such as a tunnel, which was popular on their old climbing frame.
A huge tube net provides a three-dimensional challenge for older children at the very end of the climber.
Swings were identified as a very popular activity, that the village wanted more of – so we made sure to provide!
A ‘dragon’ made with talk tubes and a tyre trail adds a fun imagination-play aspect to the play space.
New bark surfacing helped to refresh the space.
A new all-weather pathway provides direct access to the entire play space, including the inclusive play zone to the left, with a climbing frame for children with limited mobility, and a flush-floor roundabout.
We’re very proud of this project, and we’re very happy we got to deliver it early in the year, ready for Spring!
