Pakeman Primary School in Islington first invited Setter Play to design their play areas around 20 years ago, so we were really pleased to be picked to refresh their play areas all these years later! We like to think this underlines the long-term value, quality, and relationship that Setter Play singularly offers in the play equipment industry!
Pakeman’s brief was to remove all of their old play areas, before installing three new climbing frames and a variety of other outdoor play and learning provisions.
We also refreshed all their tarmac play areas with new tarmac, creating this seamless and quality appearance to the space, with concrete curbs around the soft play areas, and all areas finishing flush with each other.
Their new centrepiece climber is one of our wonderful three-tower castles, featuring ample adventure-play and role-play provisions to ensure children of all ages and abilities can join in the fun.
The school’s wish list included a Pyramid Net, and so we made sure to include one of those! As well as a simple tower climber with a slide.
Their EYFS play area featured Itsy Bitsy Bear, which provides a great mix of free-form and tower-based play, to provide an engaging mix of different styles of play.
The play area was finished off with our Clamber Stacks climbing walls, which are ideal for inner city schools trying to maximise their usable space, and boost fine- and gross-motor skill development through play.
Our proposal also included our lovely flower-top tables, with cut out centres so they could fit their own LEGO buckets.
Bespoke storage provides secure space for outdoor play and learning provisions.
We’re hugely proud of this project, in particular how well it was planned and delivered with tight deadlines. We hope Pakeman Primary love their new spaces!
