Samuel Ryder Academy in St. Albans, Hertfordshire invited Setter Play to quote for their new play area project, with their key priorities being to provide a large climber with different levels of challenge for all pupils, and to expand their all-weather accessible spaces.
The school chose our Lumberjack climber as their exciting new centrepiece, with four platforms featuring a huge variety of different climbing activities to aid in their pupils’ healthy development through play.
The climber has four platforms, two at 0.9m in height, one at 1.2m and one at 1.5m, to create a rising challenge that suits children of all ages.
The school chose all of the activity colours, to personalise the climber and create something unique. The PTA asked us to add a slide, so we did!
Their new rubber mulch surfacing creates a route around the space with the inlaid design, in muted and natural colours to complement their playing field.
The surface is complete with a stone foundation to provide longevity.
This expansive and impactful scheme is a great way to finish the year!!
