Ferrars Junior School in Luton asked Setter Play to create a huge new centrepiece climbing frame on their playing field, to replace an aging adventure trail and add some more high-level challenges to their play space.
They opted Hambridge, one of our largest climbers, on top of black wetpour rubber on a stone base
Hambridge combines a free-form section full of hanging and swinging activities with three prominent platforms, to present an engaging mix of play experiences
The size of the climber also provides ample room for lots of children to play together. Ferrars’ space stretched down a hill and so we had to plan the layout of the climber and lengths of the logs accordingly.
A stone foundation beneath the safety surfacing ensures good drainage and a stable, level surface, which can be enjoyed in any weather all year round.
We’re really pleased to continue growing our presence in Luton, which is near to our base in Bedfordshire, and the school have reported that they are happy with the work and with our installers’ manner on site (they were described as ‘really lovely people’) 😀
