Shackleton Primary School in Bedford asked Setter Play to convert a previously unused section of their play area in an ARC for their SEN pupils to enjoy.

The area was previously a grassy mound, which we removed, before laying a stone foundation throughout, to install a variety of different safety and sensory surfaces. We also included some accessible and sensory play features, ensuring everybody can join in the fun.

The new space is ideal for quiet group work, focused time outs, self-regulation, and burning energy in a productive and beneficial way. We’re really proud of this one!
